Island roots, Pacific Northwest home
Our founder grew up in Kailua, Oahu, where aloha isn't just a greeting — it's a way of showing up for people. She carried that spirit to the Pacific Northwest to share it.
From food truck to two cafés
It started in 2021 as Lava Bowlz, a food truck at the Lacey Food Truck Depot. Community love grew it into two brick-and-mortar cafés — South Lacey, then West Olympia.
Beyond the usual bowl
Our menu goes well beyond standard açaí — ube, dragon fruit, pitaya, and coconut bases alongside real-fruit smoothies and handcrafted coffee. Vegan and gluten-free options woven throughout.
A neighborhood that feels like ohana
